The passion for the countryside and for the Romagna. This is the way La Fornasaccia was born. A real space in which they can devote themselves to the family, but also a space for the mind where to develop a passion for animals, nature and mostly being in contact with new people.

The bed & breakfast La Fornasaccia,was an old tobacco drying kiln built in the early ‘900; it is located near the Savio River just minutes from the centre of Cesena.
It is the last remaining one out of six others and it was dismantled after the war. La Fornasaccia stands out for the wide porch that extends itself on the four sides and welcomes guests as a sweet embrace, setting them in a relaxing atmosphere among the traditions and culture of the area.
In the green heart of Cesena
Away from the street, the bed & breakfast La Fornasaccia is secluded and surrounded by the lovely countryside of Cesena, at the foot of the green rolling hills but also a short distance from the excitement of the bustling Adriatic Coast and from the “Mirabilandia” amusement park, “Acquafan” Water Park, “Oltremare” and “Italia in Miniatura”.
The bed and breakfast has a large garden all around with many olive trees, it is available for the guests for picnics and grilling (on request), with hammocks, tables, chairs and bicycles.
In the garden, the guests will have the pleasure of meeting our two dogs, a cat and our Moroseta hens. We accept small pets.
A Few minutes from the historic city centre
The bed & breakfast La Fornasaccia is ideally located in the heart of a rolling countryside, but just a few km from the centre of Cesena. La Fornasaccia is the perfect choice for business travellers or tourists wanting to stay in Cesena and looking for a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. In a few minutes you can reach The Bonci Theatre, the Library (La Biblioteca Malatestiana), the Malatesta’s Fortress (La Rocca Malatestiana) and the main Square (Piazza del Popolo), where it is located the headquarters of the City Council. Moreover various museums are scattered around the city. In the vicinity of the bed & breakfast the sporty guests will find a beautiful cycle path that runs along the river Savio that will lead them towards the centre of the city, or following it in the opposite direction, towards the sea.
Lifestyle in harmony with nature
Completely renovated according to environmentally-friendly and energy saving criteria, , the bed and breakfast has tiled and wood floors, natural lime plasters, photovoltaic panels, geothermal system to heat pumps, which ensures a cool climate in summer and a nice warmth coming up from the floor in the winter, low energy light bulbs. The rooms feature air condition, ceilings with exposed beams and they are furnished with antique furniture and the doors were decorated by the owners.
Services
The guests have a large living room with fully fitted kitchen and breakfast service. The rooms are 6 with private or shared bathroom, all different from one another in size and décor that reflect the owner’s passion for art, creativity and the country life: the suites di Non, Spos, Burdel, Zeja, Cristena and Zeja Lucia. Each room has antique beds, chestnut wooden beams, linen curtains, natural shower gel and soap made from olive oil. Free wi-fi in every room and in public areas. Separate entrance and underfloor heating is fitted in every room.

Breakfast is served in the bright living room at bed and breakfast or in the garden (in the spring and summer) and offers a variety of sweet and savoury delicacies: cakes, cookies and local handmade pies, yogurt with cereals and muesli, jams, fresh fruit, as well as hot beverages (coffee, tea, infusions and herbal teas) and fruit juices. Upon request, the famous piadina romagnola is served hot and stuffed with local meats, it gives a unique flavour for a good start to the day. Gluten-free or vegan breakfast options upon request.
